Fairhope’s New Parking Deck Will Alleviate Downtown Parking Congestion

 Fairhope Alabama’s
busy downtown area could use a relief from the parking congestion; the solution
to this problem is the construction of a parking deck that is imminent in the
sight of the current public parking lot. The new parking deck is expected to be a multi-story building to
maximize the space given. 

While the parking deck is being constructed, city officials
are looking to add spaces in the downtown area mainly by turning parallel spots
into angled parking. The new parking deck will add an expected 165 places for
public parking, and 89 for hotel Hampton Inn guests. The city hopes to have the deck completed
before the Christmas shopping season this year.
