The AIG Baker firm’s recent
purchase of 3.5 acres on the Gulf of Mexico will facilitate their plans to
construct The Beach Club of The Wharf. With
plans to open by next spring, The Wharf’s condo owners and guests will be
shuttled from their resort to the Beach Club; The Wharf has typically drawn in
many area locals, tourists, and condo owners to its multiple attractions (e.g.
15 screen movie theater, retail shops, restaurants, and an amphitheater with respectable
musical headliners).
To promote sales of the
condo units and homes available in this area, Bon Secour Village plans to offer fractional ownership plans for homes
and condo units; according to the Press-Register online, these fractionals are
usually sold in 1/6 shares to 1/25 shares with the owners sharing certain
homeowner costs (e.g. homeowner association dues, insurance, property taxes, and
potential assessments).
Additional features have
been added (i.e. The Oasis, a series of family friendly water-park type
accommodations) and two other pools are planned to be built, including a snorkeling
and formal lap pool.
