Their Central Office was located in the downtown area of Historic Mobile on Government Street. Barton Academy houses the Central Office Staff, a building built nearly 200 years ago, and was the first public school in Alabama. Barton Academy served as a public school until the 1960′s and then was turned completely over to growing Central Office Staff. The central business office moved to

Baldwin County Schools - Baldwin County is the location of the first public school in Alabama, built in 1799 by the community of Tensaw, and today’s schools remain community centers. The satellite office is located in Loxley, 1091 B Ave., just south of Interstate 10. Instructional Support and Information Technology Services are located in the satellite office.
