Back for its second year in Alabama’s Gulf Shores is the “Gulf Coast Green Market.” During the green market, residents and visitors can purchase delicious homegrown vegetables and other items such as fruits, breads, shrimp, and even flowers.  This market event is part of the “Buy Fresh, Buy Local” theme for the Farmers Market Authority of Alabama, and the Gulf Coast is a willing participant.  The Gulf Coast Green Market will run through Saturday, June 27, open each Saturday of the month from 7 am to 11 am.

The Green Market was a success last year, with farmers offering the freshest goods, usually harvested in the past 24 hours, to allow locals to experience the best homegrown crops of the Gulf Coast.   And with a focus on being environmentally friendly, AL’s Gulf Coast is a great place to vacation, live, and work.
